Why lint build up is a fire risk, not just a slow dryer
Every load of laundry sends lint down the vent line, and the lint trap in the door only catches a portion of it. What gets past the trap collects along the inside of the duct run, especially at bends and at the outside vent hood, and it is combustible material sitting directly against a heat source that runs every day.
